Dale Garrison, 89, passed away Wednesday at her home near Rogers. She was born March 15, 1898, the eighth of
nine children to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Newt Fulfer in X-Ray, Texas in Erath County. She was reared there on a farmwhere
she made her home with her mother and brothers, and went to school in Huckabee, Texas.
She came to Clovis to visit her sister and got a job at the Clovis steam laundry. Soon after she met Dorf Garrison,
and they were married in Texaco, August 15th, 1924.
In the spring of 1929 they homesteaded the family home near Rogers, and she lived there for the rest of her
life. For a number of years they also ran a dairy. She was a member of the Causey Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons; Glen Garrison and Harold Garrison, and a daughter-in-law Jimmie Lee Garrison, all
of Rogers; by two grandchildren Ronnie Garrison and Jolene Garrison, both of Clovis; also by one sister; Kate patterson of
Abilene, Texas.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, Dorf Garrison; four brothers, Clem, Kurt, Tate, and Bert Fulfer,
and by three sisters; Nannie, Pearl, and Carrie.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Wheeler Starlight Chapel with Rev. Glenn Edwards, officiating. Burial
will be in the Longs Cemetery at the site of her husband.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Juday, Bob Nunnally, James (Buck) Kyle, Vernie Armstrong, Rex Weir and Lanny Gresham.
Honorary pallbearers will be all friends and neighbors.
Mrs. Garrison will lie in state until service time.
