Leslie W. "Blackie" Elmore
Services for Leslie W. "Blackie" Elmore, 75, of Cleburne
will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2003, in Calvary Baptist Church. Rev. Charles Payne, Rev. Donnie Williams
and Rev. Joe Stephens will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Cleburne, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Members
of the Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Elmore died Monday, April 7, 2003, in Cleburne, Texas.
Mr. Elmore was born Aug. 7, 1927, in
Blum, Texas, to Robert Lee Elmore and Eva Fergason Elmore. He married Jean C. Capps on April 19, 1947, in Cleburne, Texas.
Mr.
Elmore was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. He was a 33rd Degree Mason and a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 315 and
was past in all bodies.
He was also a member of the Dallas Scottish Rite and York Rite. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army
Air Corp.
Mr. Elmore was a retired equipment foreman for the Santa Fe Railroad for 41 years.
Survivors include wife,
Jean Elmore of Cleburne; one son, Leslie H. Elmore of Baytown, Texas, very special friend considered to be a second son, Danney
Ratcliff of Arlington; two grandchildren, Les Elmore II and Reanna Elmore both of Baytown; one brother, Lester C. Elmore of
Cleburne; one sister, Leda Pearl Butler of Fort Worth.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Cleburne Funeral Home.
