(Sept. 12, 1870-February 16, 1938)

The Kinmundy Express

Feb. 24, 1938:

- Life History of Charley FOSTER: Charley, son of Clay and Cynthia GARRETT FOSTER, was born in Foster twp., Sept. 12, 1870, and departed this life February 16, 1938, age 67 years, 5 months, and 14 days. He was united in marriage to Mrs. Viola FULFER, March 27, 1937. On October 24, 1937, he united with the Church of God, in Kinmundy, and never lost an opportunity to render service in the Master's cause. He was a good neighbor and highly esteemed by the entire community. He leaves to mourn their loss, a devoted wife, two step-daughters, who idolized their father, a sister, Mrs. Jake THOMAS, of Couer Delaine, Idaho, many other relatives and a host of friends. One brother, Emery FOSTER, and one sister, Enola WILLIAMS preceded him in death. A home is sad because of his departure, a community feels their loss, but Heaven is made more ready for the coming of those who follow his example. "Sunset and evening star. And one clear call for me. And may there be no moaning of the bar; When I put out to sea. For tho' from out our borne of time and place; The flood may bear me far; I hope to see my Pilot face to face; When I have crossed the Bar." The funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Church of God, Rev. C.L. ASHBY, officiating. Interment was made in Sandy Branch Cemetery.
