Funeral services for Maye Follis, 83 of Sulphur Springs will be held at 10:30 a. m. Thursday, Aug. 18., in Jones
Memorial Chapel, Commerce with the Rev. Jay Foster officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery with nephews serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Jones-Walker and Son Funeral Home.
Mrs. Follis died Tuesday, Aug. 16., in Leisure Lodge Nursing Home.
She was born Dec. 28, 1910, in Hopkins County, the daughter of J. D. and Annie Clayton Moreland. She married
Clyde Follis on June 7, 1930 in Hugo, Okla. He preceded her in death in 1972.
Mrs. Follis was a housewife and a member of the Methodist church.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Holley of the Shirley Community; three grandchildren, Rickey Jetton of Yantis,
Jerry Jetton of Winnsboro, and Joy Shing of Sulphur Springs; eight great-grandchildren; one brother; Orville Moreland of Commerce;
and a sister Kana Lou Arnold of Fort Worth.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
