Funeral Services for John Durham To Be Wednesday

Funeral services for John William "Bill" Durham, 81, 913 SE Eleventh Ave., will be held at Calvary Baptist Church at 2 p.m. May 31, with Rev. Leonard Simms officiating and interment will be in Willow Pond Cemetery with the Baum-Carlock-Bumgarder Funeral Home in charge of arrangement.

He died May 29, at 6:30 p.m. at his home. He had been ill for the past five years.

He was born January 25, 1886 in Leonard, Texas and he was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Free will Baptist Church.

He was married March 28, 1907 to Lela M. Fulfer in Purcell, Okla., and has lived in Mineral Wells since 1907 except for a few years in Oklahoma.

He is survived by his wife; his mother, Mrs. Nancy J. Johnson, Waurika, Okla.; daughters, Mrs. Roy Franks, Walters, Okla.; Mrs. Christine Rogers, Mineral Wells; Mrs. Mary Mills, El Paso, Texas; sons, James W. Durham of Wichita Falls, and Clinton M. Durham, Mineral Wells; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Loyd K. Ennis, Red Huddleston, Mike Huddleston, W. D. Gober, Hugh Walker, and Ott Andress.
