Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Jane Davis, 96, who died Sunday at 1:40 p.m at her home at 734 West Frey, were held Monday at 3:00 p.m in the chapel of the Stephenville Funeral Home with Rev. Garland Shell, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church officiating.

She was born in Hunt County on Dec. 19, 1860, and had been a resident of Erath county for 71 years in the Exray Community and four years in Stephenville.

She was married to the late W. M. Davis, who preceded her in death in 1940.

Mrs. Davis is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Fannie Boggus, Mrs. Cora Cramer, and Mrs. Pallie McAlister, all from Stephenville, and Mrs. Margaret E. Dorris, of Iraan; three sons, J. R. Davis of Loco Hill, N. Mex.; Mike Davis of Strawn and Garland Davis of Ranger; 17 grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren.

Grandsons served as pallbearers and the interment was made in the Exray Cemetery under the direction of the Stephenville Funeral Home.
