J. W. "Jack" Crumpler, 88, died Monday, Feb. 2, 1998, in his Wichita Falls home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Crumpler cemetery with the Rev. Ronnie Lawson, pastor Thornberry
Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home.
Mr. Crumpler was born July 8, 1909, in Vernon, Texas. He was a 1928 graduate of Wichita Falls High School. He
and Clara Bessie Matthews were married Aug. 18, 1932. He was a retired machinist, and worked for Panhandle Steel, Burt Tank
Co., and Montgomery Crumpler Farms. He was a member of Thornberry Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Judy Crumpler Beach of Wichita Falls; tow sons, Bill and Paul, both
of Wichita Falls; a brother, Gordon of Wichita Falls; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
