Clara B. Matthews Crumpler went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Dec. 12, 2001. She was 88 years old. Services
Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, at 10 a.m. at Owens & Brumley Chapel, Wichita Falls. Private burial at the Crumpler Family Cemetery.
Rev. Ronnie Lawson, pastor of Thornberry Baptist Church, officiating.
Clara was born March 5, 1913, in Thornberry, Texas, and lived in that area all of her life. She was a member
of the Thornberry Baptist Church and was retired from Bethania Hospital nursing staff in 1977. She married John William (Jack)
Crumpler on Aug. 18, 1932. Her husband preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 1998. She is survived by her three children: Paul
and Barbara Crumpler, Bill and Vel Crumpler and Judy and Ed Beach, all of Wichita Falls. She had eight grandchildren and 16
great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Loretta Kiser of Kerrville, Texas,
and many nieces and nephews.
The family visitation will be Friday night between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations to be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Rd.,
Wichita Falls, TX.
